You are on this blog post because I think like many others brides/grooms like you, you are on a tight budget for your wedding and very interested in how to utilise your hard earned money while executing wedding plans. Let me not bore you further. Read up and let us know if you learnt something today.
You probably dreamed of a nice big wedding when it’s your turn. But your salary or account balance is saying “hol up ✋🏾✋🏾”. There is not enough money to go round and you are probably having one kind blood pressure as to how to meet up with all the expenses. Well, there are a number of things you can you do to manage costs.
Tip 1 (in no particular order), consider having both ceremonies on one day. Is it possible? Absolutely. Will it save money? Yes, lots of 💰💰💰💰. By having both ceremonies in one day, you can significantly save up to 40% in wedding costs. How?
➡️ For starters, since you’d have one set of guests, you will save on food and drinks.
➡️ Only one cake will be needed instead of 2.
➡️Make up artist charge will be lower since it’s one day.
➡️1 Venue cost instead of 2
➡️Vendors like decor, photography, musician/DJ, etc will be for one event not 2. That can be up to 20% savings.
➡️Reduced number of attires. For example, there’d be no need for a reception dress. Just your bridal dress and traditional wear is enough for the day.
However, please note that this is likely to be a bit more stressful for one day but with a carefully executed plan, you should be able to pull this off well.
Can you think of other areas that money can be saved because of this? Please share 😇.
